I just watched a CNN report on autism and came across this video made by "a rising star" whose name is Amanda which I hope will trigger some fruitful discussion and interest in her LANGUAGE. The title of the clip is "In My Language".

I watched that too. It was really interesting. I don't know about the whole "assisted writing" method they were talking about where the mom holds the sons hand and helps him type. That seemed really suspicious, but Amanda's language portion was really fascinating.

WoW...that was deep. I'm not too familiar with autistic people, but I can sense that they do have their own language that they use and think it is THEIR language. How cool is that...to have your very own language?
