Hello!

Dear Dr. Ortega,

How are the things going in Nagoya?
Have you had a chance to try some local food? Kishimen (noodle), maybe?
Did you go to Nagoya Castle?

Has the conference started?

I've never been to Nagoya (just passed through by train).

Hoping to hearing about your stay in Japan.

Have a safe and nice trip!

Hatsumi

Hi Hatsumi, nice photos of Nagoya! I saw the castle (Oshiro?) but only from the outside, at night. It was beautiful, all lit up. And I didn't have any kishimen... but I had the best tempura in town, and the best unagi in town... both were super delicious (unagi is one of my favorite Japanese food items... uni is the other (but I didn't have it there). I also learned what an izakaya (?) is... and liked it a lot!

I really, really felt very much at home in Nagoya, except for the signs, everything was so impenetrable for me with the writing system being so impossible to process :-) And my hosts were such nice people, it was a pleasure to meet and talk to them. I hope I can go to Japan many times in the future!
